Crown Thinning
Removal of some of the smaller live branches throughout the crown, while leaving an even density and balanced tree. This procedure enables light to penetrate the tree leaving a dappled shade. It is also beneficial to the long term health of the tree. Normally the removal of the branches would be done by hand saws, giving a better cut to that of a chainsaw.

Crown Lifting
Raising the crown of the tree by removing the lower branches on the main trunk. This can benefit access under the tree and improve visibility at ground level.

Reduction
By cutting back to side branches. This reduces the overall size of the tree, where, for instance, it has become too big for it’s surroundings. When professionally done, the form of the tree is kept. Just topping a tree to reduce it's height not only looks unnatural but also damages the long term health of the tree.

Deadwood Removal
An important but often neglected part of looking after trees. The removal of dead, dying or diseased branches is very important where falling branches may damage property or the public.

Tree Removal
All large trees are sectionally removed. This is done by climbing and removing branches in manageable sections and lowering to the ground by rope. Professionally removing in this way means that even large trees in confined spaces can be removed without any damage to property or neighbouring shrubs. Our experienced staff have been especially trained in this form of dismantling and combined with our investment in the latest rigging equipment means that we can undertake what can, at first, appear a near impossible task!

Stump Grinding
With our "Rayco 1625A Super Junior Stump Grinder" we can quickly and effectively remove stumps, whether it be in a back garden or a building site etc. All that is needed is an access space of 36". Our machines can grind to a depth of over 14".

Woodchip Mulch
All the waste wood from tree surgery is chopped and kept to mature. This makes an ideal mulch effective in keeping down weeds while retaining moisture during the summer. It also ideal for paths and riding areas.
We deliver mulch in loose loads and as a guide one cubic metre will cover approximately 10 square metres.

Building and Civil Engineering Projects
Bridge Farm Tree Services are fully experienced in tree and stump removal for industry. We detect utility cables etc before starting work on the highway or public locations. We are experienced in providing appraisals and tree removal on construction sites.

When working near highways we are fully conversant with Chapter 8 compliance. Sign, lighting and Guarding is compulsory requirement and is carried out for the safety of road users as well as our staff.
